Which will be based on the Super Nintendo version of Flashback from 1993. A seminal release that alongside the original Prince of Persia stands as one of the most iconic platform adventures with realistic animation in the history of videogames. 2142. After fleeing from a space ship, but stripped of all memory, the young scientist Conrad B. Hart awakens on Titan, a colonised moon of the planet Saturn. His enemies and kidnapers are snapping at his heels, and he has to find a way back to Earth while warding off the dangers that beset him and unravelling a fiendish extra-terrestrial plot that threatens the planet...
Now, that story breakdown is news to us - as when we first played Flashback on PC way back in the '90s this was done at a time when one generally had no idea what was happening when the game began. Where all we knew was the main protagonist was on the run on his future-bike being chased by aliens.
Available June 7, via the Nintendo eShop and retail, this version of French game designer Paul Cuisset'c classic will be playable in both original SNES mode and modern remastered - packed with enhanced visuals and audio.
