Insomniac Games' Resistance swansong is upon us; their last foray into the world they created before they jump the Sony exclusive ship for uncharted multiplatform waters.

Resistance 3 mostly represents a sense of growth on the developer's part as a strong studio in the FPS space who, for their last PS3-exclusive outing, have begun to find their impactful story-telling feet, though not in entirety. Still, what they've managed to do here is stylise the series they popularised and fed in confident feasts to rabid fans and FPS gamers alike over the years, this last being something of a desert.

7 is still above average, definitely doesn't sound like its worth a 9 imo. I've never really been able to get into the Resistance games though, they just don't seem to really measure up to the competition, always feels like they're a few steps behind the rest of the pack.

Maybe you should play the game first, I have and the campaign alone is fantastic, although a little short, the campaign makes the game more then a 7 itself. And I have played all 3 and love the resistance series, number 2 was a let down for me. In saying that everyone is different and people like different games, so the score that is given is fair based on there opinion.

It might also depend how invested you are in the series I guess, since this is the end of it isn't it? Kind of like how some people bagged out MGS4 and thought it was pretty dull and a bit s***, whereas I thought it was one of the most epic games I've ever played, largely due to the fact it was the culmination of a story I'd been playing through different games for the past 10 years.
