And Xbox One too. Out next month, as one of the first big releases for 2017 Resident Evil 7 looks to go back to the series roots with a focus on creepy and tense survival horror. Presented from a first-person perspective (that will also be playable from start to finish with PSVR), Resident Evil 7 drops players in one of those abandoned farmhouses that could only exist in a nightmare vision of rural America.
You wake up alone on the floor of an abandoned farmhouse. Daylight is quickly fading. You must find a way out. A thrilling horror experience for the five senses. This full model change to the "Isolated View", and photorealistic graphics of RE Engine mark a new beginning for survival horror.
The Beginning Hour demo, as its being called, offers up a small taste of tone and scope of the next Resident Evil. From those that have gone hands-on with the near final version the word is that the game is very much a classic Resident Evil title, and should appeal to fans that thought that the most recent entries in the series deviated a little too far into the realm of straight up action.
