MachineGames looks to be continuing the id tech engine's legacy of both visual fidelity and smooth framerates with the upcoming Wolfenstein: The New Order, as publisher Bethesda has reportedly confirmed that both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game will be running 60 frames per second at a full 1080p resolution (source:
GamingBolt.
Xbox One owners should find the news particularly encouraging after several multi-platform games have had to compromise overall screen resolution in order to achieve the same frame-rate performance as their PlayStation 4 offerings. PC gamers should then also be able to safely expect the game to function quite well on higher spec machines.
Wolfenstein: The New Order is due on May 23 for PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
