In an interview with GamesIndustry International, Ubisoft's Uplay director has confirmed that games from both Electronic Arts and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will soon be available for purchase on Ubi's own Uplay digital distribution service for PC games, as well as an assortment of smaller publishers and indie developers --claiming to have 25 to 30 titles preparing to launch, from 15 third party partners.

"We've been working on this for some time. We've been launching our own Uplay shop, and we wanted to make sure we offer a good experience from the start so we had to work on both the technical setup and all the negotiation with partners, and we thought the timing was good after the release of very strong PC titles from Ubisoft but also from partners."

So far Ubisoft has confirmed titles from Electronic Arts, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, 1C Company, Interactive, Freebird Games, Iceberg Interactive, Nordic Games, Paradox Interactive, Recoil Games, Robot Entertainment, Telltale Games, and Torn Banner Studios.

The article also notes that Ubisoft's titles will soon be coming to EA's Origin, adding to a similarly growing list of third parties already selling on the service, and mentions that the publishers games won't be departing Steam either.

Even though it's undoubtedly spurred by collective corporate concerns of Steam's growing monopoly on PC digital distribution, it's nice to see these rival publishers playing nice and increasing the value proposition of their respective online services.
