We're now at the stage of the PlayStation 4 life-cycle where people are starting to get excited about the prospect of the PlayStation 5. Word is that whatever it might be won't ready until 2020 - but that hasn't stopped people finding out some of the goings on behind the scenes. Where apparently, Sony's Advanced Technology Group is working with AMD Ryzen technology.
Which one assumes would have to be for the PlayStation 5. The report over at
Digital Foundry notes that a programmer on Sony's end is actively working with AMD on Ryzen architecture, so when you factor in that no Sony product currently utilises the tech the link all but forms on its own.
Still, at this stage this is speculation as we could be talking about hardware unrelated to the PlayStation brand and simply something game related.
