Thanks to NVIDIA Geforce RTX powered "reflections, contact shadows, diffuse global illumination and transparent reflections" via real-time raytracing and high-end post-processing. More than just words, these effects take an already stylish game from Remedy and push it into the realm of next-gen. Control will no doubt be a looker when it launches on PC.

Here's the RTX E3 trailer from NVIDIA that highlights the difference between turning the additional effects on an off. The reflections in particular definitely add a new dimension.

Play as Jesse Faden and explore shifting architecture set within the Federal Bureau of Control. Harness dynamic environmental destruction for exciting combat possibilities and master complex rituals to alter your surroundings.

Control looks fantastic first and foremost because of the art direction and stylish action - so adding these features is like putting a digital cherry on top of a lavish desert. This is a big year for NVIDIA and RTX too, as we've got word that Cyberpunk 2077, Watch Dogs Legion, Call of Duty Modern Warfare, and Woflenstein: Youngblood will all support advanced RTX features like real-time raytracing.

Control launches August 27.
