Yeah, that's interesting Dave. I would have thought with GTA V's success on PC as well as the shouts from the rooftop of PC gamers everywhere for RDR to be available to them that it would have been coming. Shouldn't speculate yet, they may be holding off for a specific PC announcement for a much more enhanced version, so we'll just have to wait and see.

Can't wait to play it though.

Why would they release it on PC at launch, then they can't sell it to people multiple times. Like the last few GTA games, I'm sure it'll launch on consoles first, so everyone buys it once there, then 12 months later they'll release it for PC with some extra bells and whistles so people can buy it again.

That's what I was banking on with the original RDR - which I still haven't played but would buy in a second if it came out on PC.

Haha exactly Khel. Like with GTA V. Sell it on console. Then sell it on PC, some of those buyers being people who already had it on console.

Yeh but /why/ do those people buy it on PC after they've owned it/played it on console? It's because it's a different (I would say superior) experience, right?

because they don't have the choice of playing it there as opposed to the console which the publisher favors because of the increased difficulty of widespread piracy there

it's not like the publisher is even going to treat the audience to the 'superior' playing experience on the PC before they've even made their profit in the console space to then later, much later, if ever, release it on the PC

I think they might just be forever trolling the PC gaming audience, it's an impressive troll that's for sure. Would love to play 1 and 2 on PC! Can't aim my six shooter for s*** on console.

yeah, I would say there would be a PC version 12-18 months after the inital console version launch. They did the same to me with GTA V. I had it on PS3, PS4 and now PC. Sometimes you just want to punch Rockstar in the throat.

Rockstar need to use an engine that works better with PC. They had alot of trouble converting GTA V, and the amount of load screens & load times is ridiculous.
I guess thats why Red dead never came to PC, and the delays of each GTA port.

Rly? I never thought it was that bad and I don't even have it running off my SSD. The initial game load takes a long time but not so long that it is crazy.

In single player its alright. Im mostly talking about GTA Online. The amount of load screens is unnecessary. Fail to join a game? Here's another long ass load screen. Same with reloading a level, or whatever.
