Red Bull's popular esports tourney, Red Bull Flick, featuring a 2v2 setup for CS:GO, is now open for team registration for Aussies. Qualifiers take place through June and July to unearth Australia's top talent to take the world stage.

Here's how to get your wings:
Back for its second year, Red Bull Flick 2021 is giving wings to amateur gamers in Australia, and the opportunity to play against some of the nation’s best pro players in custom CS:GO 2v2 maps with a futuristic twist.

This year, pairs of players will face off on a set of brand new custom Red Bull maps especially designed for a new game mode, Hold the Flag, alongside a new narrative for players to immerse themselves in a sci-fi setting. The 2021 competition features capture points, with each duo fighting for control of the map, and will be the first time that a narrative of this kind, along with themed maps and content, has been incorporated into a Red Bull event.

Open to players in Australia, Red Bull Flick will see skilled duos battle it out over four qualifiers for the chance to challenge their CS:GO idols in the official pro-am competition, with a national finals to conclude the season. The Australian online qualifiers will kick off on June 26 and 27, July 3 and 4, with the finals live streamed on July 10. Red Bull Flick grand finals will showcase the top eight to 16 duos as they compete for the ultimate victory in a live broadcast, hosted by Red Bull.

Red Bull Flick first launched in 2019 with a local event in Turkey, and is now a prestigious global tournament, with over 45,000 registrations in over 30 countries competing in 2020. For Red Bull Flick 2021, Legendary G2 Nikola “NiKo” Kovač will be the Red Bull Flick Brand Ambassador, with the expert rifler and in-game leader providing fans his professional insight throughout the tournament.

Adding their insights and commentary in the lead up to the finals, will be a collection of dynamic duos, consisting of some of Australia’s leading content creators and professional CS:GO players. Showcasing Red Bull Flick’s unique game mode, new maps and exciting narrative across their own broadcast channels, the personalised streams will allow players of all skill levels to gain valuable insights, and tips and tricks direct from their favourite players and creators.

Red Bull Flick’s world-class partners continue with AOC returning as the official Monitor Partner to provide phenomenal visual clarity and ultra-high refresh rate monitors, and SteelSeries coming on board as the official Peripheral Partner to support with their world-renowned, high performance gaming headsets, keyboards and mice.
The narrative and sci-fi aspect of that is one of the more exciting twists this year, and one we're really keen to see play out in real-time. Be sure to hit the link above to register, and stay tuned for more on the tournament as it becomes available.
