Which is worrying because it's out September 13, and since it was first announced has been billed as a new game from the creators of Mega Man and Metroid Prime. So by now we should really have a good idea how it plays. Because we love those two things. Anyway I'm still hopeful, and the budget price of $49.95 doesn't seem so bad for a new IP. Coming to both Windows 10 and Xbox One, and the first game to utilise the new Play Anywhere feature, ReCore's launch trailer has dropped. And it looks, well, interesting.

The jury may still be out, but our fingers are crossed that this doesn't end up like Keiji Inafune’s Mighty No. 9. And errs on the side of classic Metroid Prime. Even though it doesn't look like much of either.

Anyway check it out.

Steve's played it, so why not let him give some early impressions in the comments. Take it away Stevesy.

I have played this, and still have a bit of a write-up coming form an interview I did with Inafune and the Metroid Prime guys, but yes, it's pretty awesome and has a very heavy lean on Metroid level and upgrade design.
