Here's the thing, I've played through the original BioShock about a half dozen times. On both Xbox 360 and PC. The BioShock Collection which is coming September 15 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, contains all single-player content for BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock: Infinite. A new teaser trailer for the release has been released and it wisely focuses on the first outing. And based on looking at these very familiar locations, I just know that another play-through is right around the corner.
Because we're talking about an absolute classic. Plus, two very good games.
Okay, so that might be a kind of a bold statement. I can't really remember BioShock 2, mainly because I was still content with the first game when that rolled around. And BioShock: Infinite, when taking the expansions into consideration, may be a bit of a narrative mess. But it was dealing with huge themes, and had a number of iconic moments. That were dulled a bit by the repetitive combat.
Anyway, it'll require a lot of time to play-through all three again. But I'm more than ready to revisit the Rapture of the original BioShock.
I think it'll be an improvement over the console releases. I'm assuming it'll run at 1080p. That's for the first game. If they up the res and texture quality that'll be enough for me.
Yeah, I'm definitely keen to play through it again, I played it before I became a true Achievement whore too, so keen to get in their and go all completionist on it!
And if you already own BioShock, BioShock 2, and/or Minerva’s Den on Steam, you will be able to upgrade to the remastered version of the respective title(s) for free after release. It’s a circus of values!
