The Razer Raptor is set to become the first gaming monitor from hardware maker Razer, which is a surprising bit of news considering how there's a Razer do-dad for just about anything. We would have assumed that a Razer monitor existed in some capacity. Featuring a WQHD (2560x1440) IPS panel with an almost bezel-free look, 144 Hz refresh rate, 1-4ms typical response time, and HDR support - the 27-inch Raptor screen no doubt looks impressive.

Slated for release later this year, the Razer Raptor has a tentative price of USD $699.99. FreeSync technology is also part of the package, and where in the past we'd normally frown slightly at that - as we game mostly with NVIDIA cards - that's no longer the case thanks to NVIDIA adding FreeSync support in the next GeForce driver update.

In other Razer news comes word that the excellent Razer Blade 15 is getting an update to include the latest GeForce RTX 20-series GPUs - with a variety of revisions including NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (6 GB GDDR6 VRAM), NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 with Max-Q Design (8 GB GDDR6 VRAM), and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 with Max-Q Design (8 GB GDDR6 VRAM). This also means that the full-HD display will always include the 144 Hz option. The new updated Razer Blade is expected to launch this year. We reviewed the Razer Blade 15 last year, and immediately fell in love with the thin form factor, solid build, and excellent image quality. So it's great to see that the power of the new GeForce RTX line is being added.
