With a full reveal expected this weekend as a part of Ubisoft Forward, the sci-fi co-op shooter we've heard a bit about but haven't actually seen in action has just gotten its new name. With Rainbow Six Quarantine now simply called Rainbow Six Extraction. The name change was inevitable really, so now all we can do it wait to see how it plays.
"Unknown. Sentient. Consuming." goes the tagline and from that the setting of going up against alien-parasite infected soldiers brings up thoughts of Rainbow Six Siege mashed up with Left 4 Dead. Which, in all honesty, are pretty good thoughts.
Rainbow Six Extraction has been in development for quite sometime, so odds are its on track for release later this year -- and as a 'Ubisoft Original' might arrive as a free-to-play release on PC and consoles. Ubisoft Forward is set to kick off this Sunday at 5am AEST.
