Just a heads up to those who may be looking to grab inFamous: Second Son ahead of its launch tomorrow on the PlayStation 4, Dick Smith have sent word that their RRP has now been cut, putting it at $64.95.
Originally available for order at $74.95, those who pre-order the game before the end of today through a local store will also get the usual $10 discount, putting the game at $54.95. Usually Australian gamers don't get to see these kind of low prices at a brick 'n' mortar store, and the slashed RRP is only available until end of March so be quick.
inFamous: Second Son launches tomorrow, March 21st on the PlayStation 4.

Or that is what I thought anyway. I called D*** Smith in Cannington (WA) to see if they actually had any available or if they had reduced the price on the eve of release when no pre-orders or stock would actually be available. The reason being to trick people into going into a D*** Smith to see if they had it and hopefully buying something else while they are there, despite being fooled by unethical business practices (I know a company making me feel stupid always gets me in the spending mood!). I was told by the staff member that there was only one available. NOW. So- I ride for D*** Smith.
UPDATE- Well, I am glad I didn't post and had people heading to D***ies based on what I said. When I arrived the staff member I spoke to said that she thought I was talking about an extra controller I wanted to buy with the game; a SINGLE PLAYER game. I did not mention controllers once and it does not explain why she would have needed to check if 'they can sell it today' which- on the phone- she said she had confirmed with a manager and it was okay to do so. This makes no sense if it was about a controller and it is highly likely that she couldn't get confirmation that she could sell it when I rang but said to come in anyway and changed her story when she actually contacted someone with authority. Needless to say I am annoyed with the lies and did not buy anything else in the shop and will likely never go back.
As for the $10 discount she did not know anything about it either(after consulting their latest catalogue) but based on what I saw one can take what they say with zero reliability- in all likelihood the opposite of what they say is correct.
Not happy D***ies. Not happy at all.
