In other words, places that have fast internet speeds and infrastructure that measures speeds in in the GB not MB. Ahh, Australian internet - you'll never change. Which, by the way, is a bad thing. Please change. Ahem.
Microsoft's
Project xCloud is the company's low-latency game streaming service that will offer people the ability to stream and play
Xbox One titles on any device with a display.
And super-fast internets.
Also, preferably something you can sync up an Xbox One controller to. Long in development, and we had the chance to test it out at E3 this year, Project xCloud puts credence in the idea that one day consoles and dedicated hardware for gaming will be a niche endeavour - most will simply look up to the clouds and say "Stream me baby". Ala what Net Flicks, Stanley's, and Amazing Stories Prime do for films and television.
After internal testing at Microsoft, where employees played both Halo 5: Guardians and Gears 5 multiplayer, Project xCloud is now ready for its public debut - in Preview form. The preview will be made available to those in the United States, United Kingdom and Korea - with the sign-up page
now open and the service live across Android phone/tablet devices and Xbox One hardware. Playable games include Halo 5: Guardians, Gears 5, Killer Instinct, and Sea of Thieves.
There are terms and condition but as ANZ ain't included we haven't bother to go over them. Jokes aside, with Microsoft Azure servers located in key cities across Australia, it's expected that once the service is ready for prime time - Project x Cloud will make it's way to our shores.
