Microsoft and Team Dakota have today announced that their colourful sandbox title with a heavy focus on user-generated content is now available on the Xbox One as a global beta release.
Since the Project Spark Beta released on Windows 8.1 devices in December 2013, more than 250,000 fans signed up with hundreds of new requests daily, taking advantage of the game’s revolutionary toolset to create custom adventures and unique worlds.
With the Beta now available on Xbox One and Windows 8.1, eager fans can join a dynamic development community of designers to create, explore and play within their own world, or jump into other community-creations to modify and collaborate on a game for endless possibilities. With cross-platform capabilities and through the power of Cloud Saving, Project Spark creators can build on a Windows 8.1 device, and then pick-up a controller to continue playing on Xbox One or vice versa.
Currently those interested still need to signup at the
official website for the chance to try the game, though previous Windows 8.1 beta testers have been granted Xbox One beta access.
The beta program will continue on both Windows 8.1 and Xbox One until the product launches later this year as a free-to-play title.
