For those that need a friendly reminder, Project Highrise from SomaSim and Kasedo Games is very much a 21st century Sim Tower. A spiritual successor to the classic skyscraper sim from the '90s that's right up there with the greats. And after playing around with the Project Highrise beta for a few weeks now, we can definitely say that it more than lives up to its promise. And with a launch date now set for September 8, pretty soon you will too.

Now, Project Highrise isn't just a Sim Tower remake. The way it flows and the options you're given make it stand out much in the same way that Sim City successor City Skylines does. There's a deep layer of customisation too, and everything from running power to water, gas, and even cable TV, needs to be taken into consideration when expanding your tower.

In fact there's so much to be aware of that you'll probably need to abandon a few towers before you get it right. But, like with Sim Tower before it, it's a lot of fun to play, so you won't really mind.

Check out the latest gameplay trailer which gives you a basic rundown of what you can do.

We'll be posting up a review when the launch date gets a bit closer. And unveil the glorious KostaCorp Tower. A great building to live, work, and shop, that also blocks out the sun.
