With New Zealand-based developer Grinding Gear Games announcing that its popular action-RPG is making its way to Sony's console in December. Already available to play on PC and Xbox One, Path of Exile is very much a game created in the mold of Diablo II - but one that grown over the years to become something quite special.

The announcement came alongside the following trailer, which also highlights some of the newer Path of Exile content.

With the 3.5.0 expansion set to release on December 7 it's expected that the PlayStation 4 version will follow soon after that. As with the PC and Xbox One versions of the game, different servers will be utilised for the PlayStation 4 release - which rules out the possibility of cross-play. Details on the new expansion will also be released next week.
