Next-gen is right around the corner with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Next-gen is also here right now on PC (if you can find one that is) thanks to the release of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080. Anyway, no new console goes without a poker game - it's written in stone. Where stacks and towers of checks you can't even see over, playing all-night, high-limit hold'em at the Taj, where the sand turns to gold is the order of the day.
Anyway, out November 19 Poker Club is set to offer up 4K 60fps hardware-accelerated ray traced aces over kings with pocket cherries in a six-ten split river flop. As per developers Ripstone Games, “Leveraging the power of Unreal Engine 4 and next-generation visual features, Poker Club will offer players the most immersive poker simulation ever seen on next-generation and current platforms.”
And how.
Here's hoping the ray-tracing lets you see through the cards, or catch the eyes of a pair of ladies reflected in the glasses of your opponent. Anyway, it’s poker and Poker Club will fully supports cross-gen play, will also arrive on the Nintendo Switch and current-gen consoles, and feature online modes and tournaments.
