A PlayStation Showcase event has been scheduled for next week where we'll be getting "a look into the future of the PS5" with titles from PlayStation Studios set to be featured. No doubt Horizon Forbidden West will be included as that's set to launch in February next year, but we might get our first look at God of War: Ragnarök gameplay.

Well, that's the dream.

With Sony opting out of doing its own thing for E3 and Gamescom this is definitely their biggest PS5 event in a while -- so we're kind of expecting a few game announcements. On that note Sony is touting "plenty of great PS5 games from developers large and small" though it won't be talking about its next-gen PlayStation VR goggles.
