After Microsoft
yesterday revealed that only Xbox Live Gold subscribers would be able to use the new Game DVR feature on Xbox One, Sony has hit back saying that PlayStation 4 users will not be required to have PlayStation Plus for their streaming and recording.
Taking to his Twitter account, Sony president Shuhei Yoshida confirmed that a PlayStation Plus membership will not be required in order to stream and record footage from the PlayStation 4. Responding to a fan on
Twitter if "the PS4 recording feature be available to all or only those who have PS+?," Yoshida responded by simply saying "all." Another
Twitter follower asked "are the PS4 game recording and streaming features exclusive to Plus subscribers?," to which he simply responded "no."
It is unclear whether the choice for Microsoft to place several of its apps behind the Live Gold paywall will change anything in the long run, with Sony now also implementing a few apps behind their PlayStation Plus subscription including multiplayer.
The PlayStation 4 is expected to be released sometime during the "holiday season" of this year, with the Xbox One aiming for a November release.

Journey

Uncharted 1-3
The Last of Us
Red Dead Redemption
Metal Gear Solid 4
Little Big Planet
Gears of War
They're just the games that I could think of off the top of my head that I really enjoyed, there's obviously the Halo games and Forza etc which I don't play.
