Sony will be bringing its private beta of their in-development game-streaming service PlayStation Now to PlayStation 4 later tonight, though sadly this is still only available to United States residents.

The company announced the news this morning, noting that PlayStation users who registered for the private beta may receive a code for the PlayStation 4 version "soon." A beta for the PlayStation 3 has been on-going for a few months now since its announcement in January, and Sony has also noted that they plan on extending that platform's beta "in the near future."

PlayStation Now was officially revealed during the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show, where Sony described it as a cloud-based streaming service that will encompass PlayStation 1, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 games. The service will utilise Gaikai, who Sony acquired a few years back, and will offer a number of titles including The Last of Us and God of War: Ascension. Plans for rolling out a public beta are expected later this year, though no word on Australian access.
