After the
recent news that EB Games Expo 2013 would be host to 100 playable Xbox One consoles from Microsoft, Sony has
now revealed (thanks do0b) that it will be there in the flesh with the first public hands-on of its next-gen console, the PlayStation 4.
“It’s fantastic that Australians get the chance to get hands on with the PS4 at EB Expo before its official release. This is usually a privilege reserved for industry insiders, now everyone is an insider” said Debra McGrath, EB Games National Brand, Events and Engagement Manager.
McGrath continued “This is a big deal… people are going to be able to look back in years to come and brag that they played it first. We know that this is something that the community have been waiting for and as gamers ourselves we are equally excited. The prospect of hands on game play before the official release is something gamers only dream of. We are stoked that Sony Computer Entertainment Australia has made this a reality for those attending EB Expo.”
It is currently unclear how many playable PlayStation 4 consoles there will be at the expo, and what games will be exactly shown but it is safe to say that it will definitely be an interesting three-day event for fans of both consoles.
The EB Games Expo 2013 will take place at the Sydney Showgrounds, Sydney, Australia from Oct. 4-6, 2013. Tickets are still available for purchase which you find
over here. The PlayStation 4 has yet to get an official release date, but is expected sometime in the "holiday season" of 2013.
