If you have been living under a rock you may not have noticed how well the PlayStation 4 is selling for Sony, so today's news that the UK market has passed the 1 million "sell-through" mark should hopefully point out the obvious.
The PlayStation 4 has marked the first current-gen console to hit the one million mark for the UK region, making it the second-fastest selling of all to reach seven figures in the country's history. Taking only 42 weeks to hit that milestone, the console was four weeks earlier than the PlayStation 3 and eight for the PlayStation 2. Nintendo still holds the crown though, with the Wii shifting one million in just 38 weeks.
Sony UK boss Fergal Gera explained to
Eurogamer the figures come from data compiler Chart Track. The system first went on sale in November 2013, as did Microsoft's Xbox One, which had shipped 5 million worldwide by April 2014. Microsoft will look to boost those numbers by bringing its system to 28 more countries this month. Meanwhile, the Wii U which launched a year earlier than the two other systems is up to 6.68 million shipments as of June 2014.

Now I realise that UK people don't play games, or are very master race.
