Sony's PlayStation 4 voice party chat system will be able to support up to eight players at one time, a feature that is currently available on the PlayStation Vita, PlayStation's social media manager confirmed on the PlayStation Blog.

Revealed in the Q&A with Killzone Shadow Fall game director Steven ter Heide, the free feature was confirmed back in July that anyone will be able to access the party chat without need of a PlayStation Plus subscription. Sony also confirmed a limit of 2,000 friends and that any current PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Vita friends will carry over to the PlayStation 4 network.
