Cross-play between PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players has been the dream for quite sometime, and now with the upcoming release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare supporting cross-play it seems that all developers will now have access to the feature. Instead of only a handful of select titles. Jumping on the revelation PUBG is adding cross-play.

With a new Console Update for the Battle Royale game outlining the feature's arrival - cross-play between PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players. "We are beyond thrilled to unify the two console platforms into one matchmaking pool and are looking forward to your feedback and reports," notes PUBG corp.

The revelation came as part of a new feature up on Wired that confirms with Sony that cross-platform play is out of the beta stage. From this we can probably expect to see many more cross-play updates to multiplayer games in the coming months.
