But before you get your hopes up about this new indie coming to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 later this year, it doesn't look that great. As seen in the trailer, the visual style looks to be more vibrant original Wii or mobile title - than Nintendo classic Pilotwings.

But with planes, hang gliding, and jet packs all looking to control like they did in Pilotwings - there's no doubt as to where Pilot Sports draws its inspiration.

Over 50 courses and seven types of challenges offer thrilling reasons to take to the skies. Five different aircrafts -- airplane, jetpack, parachute, and two types of hang gliders -- change the way players tackle different obstacles. Eight playable characters ensure that anyone playing looks the way they want. The sunny, tropical island surrounded by a picturesque ocean accompanied by cheerful guitar tunes makes for a perfectly relaxing backdrop for players and their loved ones.

Launching in September we won't have long to wait to find out if this is pale imitation or fun and loving homage.
