Sporting a funky new Pikmin themed t-shirt, iconic game developer Shigeru Myamoto was on had during the recent Nintendo Direct to announce Pikmin 4. The next mainline game in the series that began its life during the Nintendo GameCube era is set to arrive for the Nintendo Switch sometime in 2023.

Here's the teaser trailer.

No real gameplay was shown, but Myamoto confirmed that camera perspective will be lower to the ground this time to give players a more Pikmin point of view. Plus, we got confirmation that the same style of peaceful real-time strategy will return in this new installment.
