The Penny Arcade Expo, a gaming convention aimed at giving gamers a chance to interact with the industry, has been officially announced (
thanks Verge!) at this years PAX panel to be making its way to Australia next year. The PAX event will be running for a full four days, and will feature a large amount of gaming needs and hosts.
The Australian convention will mark Penny Arcade's third yearly event, joining PAX Prime in Seattle and PAX East in Boston, and will bring the expo internationally for the first time.
"We will," Krahulik answered when asked about bringing Penny Arcade Expo to England. "I can't say when."
While no date or location has been announced yet, it's great news for Australian gamers and hopefully we can see a large amount of local talent showcased at the event.

Any events which cause gamers to get outside is a huge boon for the industry imo.
Personally I think events like this change the public perception of gamers from being psychopaths waiting to break bad, to something much more truthful.
That and it sounds really fun. Saldy it's far away.. :(
