After a very successful first showing this time last year, the Australian Penny Arcade Expo is back again this weekend to offer up a whole collection of gaming culture. From video game booths to Cards Against Humanity tournaments, PAX Australia is the go-to place for gaming culture, and AusGamers will be there throughout the event.
Today marks the first day of PAX, and with it the chance to see those dedicated enough to skip work or school to come and celebrate all things gaming. This year things are little different, not only in location but also in exhibition handling.
With regards to location, PAX is now being held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. This not only allows further room for more gaming booths, but also a far more professional, E3-like presentation. Space is a plenty, and all the big dogs have setups that rival last year's by a large gap, though domination is still being sought between Wargaming's World of Tanks and Riot Games' League of Legends.
We'll be continuing the discussion all throughout the day, and of course will also be catching up with a whole range of developers from indie through to AAA. As always, keep your eyes peeled on the front page of AusGamers for the latest from PAX, and if you happen to spot me don't be shy and say G'day!
