In news that many have been waiting for, mainly because of the current state of things, comes word that PAX Aus 2021 has been cancelled. "At the start of the year, the team was optimistic that we’d all be able to come together in person this October," writes the official statement. "But due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19 in Australia, this is no longer possible."

The good news is that PAX Aus is setting its sights on a physical event in 2022 and a PAX Aus Online event will be taking place in some form from October 8-10 this year. Refunds for physical PAX Aus 2021 will be happening over the next week for those that purchased tickets.

Either way PAX Aus 2021 was always going to be a different, as per the announcement from March it was to be a limited event with procedures in place in case of border closures and other COVID-19 happenings. On that note we're hopeful 2022 will see the return of in-person events like PAX Australia.
