PAX Aus 2019 is returning to Melbourne this year, albeit a little earlier with the event taking place October 11-13 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. With this year once again marking a partnership with EB Expo, and a promised bigger and better show. Tickets are set to go on sale tomorrow.
From 12:30pm, with Early Bird pricing set at $65 for day passes and $170 for three-day passes. Tickets will be
available here, but the link will go live tomorrow.
Going earlier will coincide with Melbourne International Games Week (MIGW), as well as avoid happening the same weekend as some of the biggest videogame releases of the year.
“We heard your cry for PAX to come sooner,” said Luke Lancaster, Content Manager, PAX Aus. “It turns out planning PAX is much like scheduling a D&D game, and when we sat down to plan the first weekend we all had free was in October. Apologies to any other sessions we may have disrupted.”
EB Games Group Marketing Director, Debra McGrath, said “The PAX dates moving earlier is fantastic news for the whole gaming community. We expect this to result in a stack more playable pre-release games for people get their hands on”.
