It's still almost a year away, but tickets for the second ever PAX Australia videogame festival, to be held from 31 October to 2 November, 2014 in the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, are
now available for purchase as either single day or three day passes.
Building on the success of the 2013 event, the new venue will allow an increase in space across the entire show, with most feature areas increasing by at least 50%. To accommodate the demand for content, the theatre spaces will also be increased, with three times the amount of space at the 2014 show.
Alongside the individual and three day badges available to purchase, a new three day international badge provides an option for visitors from outside of Australia to ensure they have an equal opportunity to attend the show for the entire weekend.
Last year's inaugural event sold out surprisingly fast, and although the 2014 event has a larger capacity, we expect that tickets will still be snapped up quite quick.
As PAX Aus 2014 is on the same weekend as the 2014 Melbourne Cup horse race, city accommodation is likely to be stretched, so if you're an out-of-towner thinking of attending next year, you might want to check out
the hotel deals that the PAX organisers have on offer.

I had a mates brother work there. It's pretty much your standard young backpackers in a great area. The Pumphouse Hotel that's about 20 metres down the road is a good place for a quiet pint.
