And by vibrant we also mean violent, with Paint the Town Red presenting over-the-top sandbox action with a look that feels a little bit like 'Minecraft, but DOOM'. After being available in Steam Early Access on PC for quite a number of years it's finally hit version 1.0 and is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Check it out.

Paint the Town Red is a chaotic first person melee combat game set in different locations and time periods and featuring a massive Rogue-Lite adventure. The voxel-based enemies can be punched, bashed, kicked, stabbed and sliced completely dynamically using almost anything that isn't nailed down.

In the Scenario levels you'll need to use your wits, speed and anything you can get your hands on in epic bar fights, disco brawls, old west saloon rumbles and more.

In the epic rogue-lite Beneath you'll have to delve deep underground battling terrifying monsters and unlocking powerful upgrades in a battle against ancient evils.

The big thing here is the new rogue-lite Beneath mode which builds on the scenarios (Biker Bar, Disco, Prison, Pirate Cove and Western Saloon) by adding a dose of RPG progression as you fight through underground dungeons. It all looks like a lot of fun, so be sure to check it out if you feel the need for some voxel-based carnage.
