Blizzard Teases Year of the Rooster Event for Overwatch

With the simple tagline of "Good luck and great fortune await!" Overwatch's next seasonal event is scheduled to kick off on January 24 and is themed around the Chinese New Year. Based on past events we can probably expect to see find a few new skins and other cosmetic items, plus perhaps a visual overhaul for at least one of the in-game maps. To tease the upcoming event Blizzard naturally chose the game's Chinese hero, Mei, who can be seen donning a very traditional Chinese outfit.



Also, Blizzard's Korean Twitter account teased the upcoming event by showcasing a new D.Va skin.

this explains the voice overs people found in the code assuming it was valentines day, turns out it was chinese new year lol
