The closed beta for Blizzard's Overwatch is all set to wrap up on April 25 with the full game to launch less than a month after that on May 24. The closed beta has been running for several months now, with Blizzard using the feedback and platform to shape Overwatch into a pretty stable and balanced experience. But even so, there will still be an open beta which will be available on all platforms, running from May 5–9.
Our sincerest thanks to all of our Closed Beta testers and everyone in the Overwatch community for participating in this critical part of the game’s development process. Over the past several months, you've shared tons of amazing feedback—and we've collected payloads of useful data—to help us balance, tweak, and fine-tune our heroes, maps, core game systems, and more. We hope you had a blast, and we can't wait to fight alongside everyone on May 24.
As a multi-platform title, and the first Blizzard game to get such a release from day one, the open beta for Overwatch will be made available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. And for those that pre-order the game, they'll get access to the Open Beta a few days early on May 3.
