PayDay 2 developer Overkill has announced an officially licensed game based on the popular comic and TV series The Walking Dead, to be built as a cooperative multiplayer experience and series creator Robert Kirkman will be involved in its creation.
This is Robert Kirkman from Skybound and I am the creator of The Walking Dead.

I’m a huge fan of what OVERKILL and Starbreeze have been able to do with PAYDAY 2. It’s just an amazing co-operative game and I’m excited to be able to announce that Skybound is partnering with OVERKILL to make a Walking Dead game. I’m happy to say that it’s the co-op game that all of the Walking Dead fans have been waiting for.
You can watch a rather low budget "reveal" trailer below, but there's no hints of gameplay footage at this time.

I especially enjoy how the game that already exists isn't in the editorial. Why would you point that out though when the game with nearly no shooting zombies has done more for the genre then any number of shooting based zombie titles? It's like the entire gaming community is trying to get the zombie apocalypse right and just can't keep f*****g it up whilst steadily ignoring the fact that Telltale have already done it.

Interesting to see what direction they take this that will set it apart from something like L4D2, for example.

For those that didn't watch right to the end of the clip:
Payday 2 owners also get Lucille, the infamous barbed wire covered baseball bat from issue 100 of the comic. >:-D
