As part of backwards compatibility support on the
Xbox Series X and
Xbox Series S the
Xbox team has introduced a new bit of tech called FPS Boost that can effectively run older titles at either 60fps or 120fps -- doubling or quadrupling the frame-rate. Today comes word that another batch of 70+ titles have been given the FPS Boost treatment.
This is the biggest FPS Boost update so far, and brings the total list of titles supporting the feature close to 100. Impressive. As with backwards compatibility features like AutoHDR, FPS Boost can be enabled or disabled on a per game basis.
With over 70 additions the list covers a wide range of titles, from Alien Isolation, Anthem, and Wasteland 3 hitting 60fps to Untitled Goose Game, Battlefield Hardline, and Metro: Last Light Redux going all the way up to 120fps.
