As far as Zelda-like games go, Okami from Capcom is definitely one of the good ones. Whilst featuring an awesome art style. Originally released in 2007 for the PlayStation 2 and then the following year for Wii, a HD remaster did make it's way to the PlayStation 3 in 2012. But this new version, enhanced for modern hardware, will also support 4K for Xbox One X, PS4 Pro, and PC.
In Okami HD players take on the role of Amaterasu, the Japanese sun goddess who inhabits the form of a legendary white wolf Shiranui on a quest to defeat Orochi, an eight-headed demon and tyrannical monster responsible for turning the world into a ruined wasteland. Players must use Amaterasu’s magical abilities and arsenal of items, attacks and Celestial Brush techniques to restore the land of Nippon to its previous glory full of life and colour. Along the way, Amaterasu will be called upon to help a cast of quirky and intriguing characters and defeat a bevy of brutal enemies to rid the land of Orochi’s curse.
Players will also be able to switch between the original 4:3 presentation and the new widescreen format, which is always a nice touch. Speaking of Switch, no Nintendo Switch version is a shame - but Okami HD will be out for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on December 12.
