Tuesday's DoorDash LCO Split 2 Grand Final, the closing bit of action for the premiere League of Legends tournament in Oceania, saw underdogs Peace take the crown over Pentanet.GG in an impressive 3-0 victory. With Peace taking home the $15,000 USD, the next stop for the team will be the Riot Games’ League of Legends World Championship in October.

“I'm really grateful to be champion again and have the opportunity to represent Oceania at Worlds. I'm really excited to play on the main stage again, especially since it's my second time and I have prior knowledge about how to prepare and what to expect.” said Peace mid-laner James ‘Tally’ Shute. “I will bring the best version of myself and my teammates, and hope we have a good showing.”

“The inaugural year of the Doordash LCO has been a rollercoaster, and we’ve ended it on a high as over 10,000 OCE League fans tuned in to watch Peace claim the Split 2 Title.” said Peter Du, League Manager. “What we’ve been able to accomplish with the help of our partners, sponsors, teams, and fans is nothing short of extraordinary. From a league that didn’t exist less than 9 months ago, we’ve managed to create Australia & New Zealand’s most watched esports product to date this year, and shape it into a sustainable platform for growth. We look forward to watching Peace represent our region at Worlds later this year, and hopefully continue to break new records for OCE.”

On that note the DoorDash LCO saw over 1.5 million total Oceanic Unique viewers across 2021, a big increase over last year. And to celebrate the finals we've teamed up with the LCO to give-away $300 AUD of Riot Points - so be sure to head to our competition page!.
