Where it will launch across PS4, Xbox One, and PC and also debut as part of Xbox Game Pass on October 25. As the highly anticipated new RPG from Obsidian Entertainment, The Outer Worlds also got a new trailer at part of Microsoft's Xbox showcase, kicking things off.

Lost in transit while on a colonist ship bound for the furthest edge of the galaxy, you awake decades later only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy the Halcyon colony. As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter various factions, all vying for power, the character you decide to become will determine how this player-driven story unfolds. In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable.

From the team behind Fallout: New Vegas this definitely looks like a spiritual successor to that with a dash of Futurama and a little bit of Borderlands too. As a single-player RPG it will focus on a chracter and choice driven story alongside offering players the ability to be as violent as they see fit. As the trailer showcases this can be anything from friendly via offering medical support to 'pure psychopath' as you kill someone with their own pistol.
