With NVIDIA announcing that it's set to expand the reach of its cloud streaming platform GeForce NOW to a number of new markets -- including Australia. For those that need a refresher, mainly because the service hasn't been made available here, GeForce NOW utilises custom NVIDIA RTX servers to basically offer up maxed out gaming over the cloud using your existing library of games that are supported by publishers.

Launching last year in other territories, early impressions praised the overall quality of the streaming and low latency.

As per the new server map above GeForce NOW is headed to Australia via Perth-based ISP Pentanet. A somewhat confusing move, due to the whole east-coast of Australia housing, you know, most of the people. Still, latency has been the main driver for GeForce NOW not being available locally, and this move will no doubt be great for NVIDIA Shield owners - the company's streaming box that full supports GeForce NOW and has recently been updated to support the PS5 DualSense and Xbox Series X controllers.

No word on an exact release date, or pricing for the two tiers of GeForce NOW -- the free version which allows for up-to an hour of gaming and the subscription (which is $5 USD) which bumps up the in-game graphics and offers up lengthier sessions.
