NVIDIA has finally lifted the lid on the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, formerly known as the GeForce RTX 4080 12GB, and with DLSS 3 technology performance it can outperform the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti by a considerable margin. Not only that but thanks to the new Ada Lovelace architecture it does so using around 43% less power on average.
Impressive stuff, especially as DLSS 3's Frame Generation technology (limited to the GeForce RTX 40 Series) becomes available in more and more titles. The RTX 4070 Ti uses considerably less power than the GeForce RTX 3080 too, and it idles using only 12W. A testament to the incredible efficiency gains found across the 40 Series line-up.
Although non-DLSS 3 gaming wasn't the focus of the announcement, NVIDIA notes that you can pretty much expect 120 fps and higher performance at 1440p playing even the most visually demanding games. And with a price point of USD 799 and AUD 1,479 it comes in cheaper than the previously announced USD 899 for the RTX 4080 12GB.
Here are the specs for the new GeForce RTX 4070 Ti in relation to the GeForce RTX 40 Series.
Although no Founders Edition is available, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti launches January 5 with variants from companies like ASUS, Colorful, Gainward, GALAX, GIGABYTE, INNO3D, KFA2, MSI, Palit, PNY, and ZOTAC.
