The first two Turok game came out in 1997 and 1999, and being released primarily for the Nintendo 64 they naturally used the technical visual technique of 'Fog! Fog! Fog!' to hide texture and object pop-in. The first game in particular is known for its liberal use of fog, to the point where Turok could barely see a few metres in front of him for the entire game. Which, kind of made the action that little bit more intense. Night Dive Studios, who are behind the Turok remasters have released a batch of screens for Turok the Dinosaur Hunter. And there's one thing missing.

The fog is gone. Well, it's slightly there, but the thick impenetrable fog of the Nintendo 64 original is nowhere to be seen.
