With Nintendo Switches starting to make the rounds to various press outlets one thing has become clear, the system at launch will very much be limited to being a games-only console. In that there will be an eShop that'll sell digital titles, but the system itself won't have any additional features like a browser or social apps. Those will be coming later, including Virtual Console stuff. Which means no classic NES, SNES, N64, and GameCube games for a while.

The latter of which has been rumoured to be up and running on Switch hardware. At AusGamers we were excited about the prospect of GameCube emulation on the Nintendo Switch. But it seems we'll have a little while longer to wait. But hey, with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild we can't really complain.

In relation to Virtual Console support, Nintendo have simply stated "We will share more information in the future." But, in the meant time there will definitely be an indie game presence on the eShop, with Nintendo holding a dedicated Direct broadcast next week to go over the 60 or so indie games coming to the Switch this year alone.
