The Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack is a new tier of subscription action for the Nintendo Switch's online subscription action. It adds access to Nintendo 64 and SEGA Mega Drive games, as part of the existing virtual console style stuff that gives current subscribers access to NES and SNES games.

In terms of Australian pricing Individual Membership for the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack will be AU$59.95 / NZ$69.95 for 12 months. A Family Membership (which supports up to eight Nintendo Accounts) will be AU$109.95 / NZ$119.95 for 12 months.

The Nintendo 64 launch line-up for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack includes: Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Mario Kart 64, Lylat Wars, Sin and Punishment, Dr. Mario 64, Mario Tennis 64, Operation: WinBack, Yoshi’s Story, and Mario Kart 64. The latter of which will support four-player online racing. Very cool.

The Sega Mega Drive launch line-up includes: Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Streets of Rage 2, Ecco the Dolphin, Castlevania: Bloodlines, Contra: Hard Corps, Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine, Golden Axe, Gunstar Heroes, M.U.S.H.A., Phantasy Star IV, Ristar, Shining Force, Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master, and Strider.
