Our pals over at Vooks posted up a bit of a classic EB Games snafu earlier today, revealing a bunch of Nintendo Switch accessories well and truly ahead of when they were likely allowed to. Most of it is standard stuff, but an image featuring a USB-C cable has many pondering if this is how Switch will be charged and would be a massive first for Nintendo to standardise parts of their hardware.

As Vooks points out, USB-C is pretty new, but if we're to believe that Nintendo Switch is as on-the-go as that initial reveal trailer suggests, then, err, switching from proprietary charging hardware to something that'll essentially be able to be charged anywhere (think those USB ports on modern planes) makes a lot of sense.

We've been handed a "save the date" for a visit down to Nintendo in Melbourne in mid January next year, where we'll be getting hands-on with the device and presumably learning a lot more, while Nintendo is said to be close to giving us even more information between now and the end of the year, so stay tuned for more.
