Nintendo is killing it, with sales of the Nintendo Switch continuing to exceed all forecasts -- with 79.87 million units sold as of December 31, 2020. With well over 20 million last year alone. Not only that, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has sold an incredible 31.18 million copies since launching in March last year. Which makes it one of the most successful game releases, you know, of all time.

Yep, ol' Ninty is sitting pretty -- as per its latest financial report. As per the end of 2020 this puts the lifetime console sales for Nintendo hardware as follows:
Nintendo DS - 154.02 million units
Game Boy - 118.69 million units
    Wii - 101.63 million units
Game Boy Advance - 81.51 million units
Nintendo Switch - 79.87 million units
    Nintendo 3DS - 75.94 million units
    NES - 61.91 million units
    SNES - 49.10 million units
    Nintendo 64 - 32.93 million units
Nintendo GameCube - 21.74 million units
    Wii U - 13.56 million units

Game sales are keeping up pace too with Nintendo revealing that 29 titles sold over one million copies on Switch during the last fiscal year.
