Nintendo has revealed during their latest Financial Results Meeting that the Japanese-based company will be opting for a new presentation style at this years E3 event, offering several smaller and separate events instead of the large press conference.

Global President Satoru Iwata ensured that while the change in delivery will be focusing more on the American side of release information, the new delivery method will ensure that international fans and press are also included through the use of their Nintendo Direct feeds. Several smaller events will be focused on upcoming Wii U titles, including those yet to be announced, while a closed event will be offered to American distributors. Another closed event will also be offered to press, which has said to include hands-on time with many of the Wii U titles.

While this may seem like an odd move with competitors Sony and Microsoft planning to dominate the stage with their next-gen console announcements, the use of the new Nintendo Direct streams may end up allowing more direct approaches to both fans of the console and also those still on the fence, while also cutting out the clutter of a large stage event. With the current success of Nintendo Direct's garnering easier access to information, it will definitely be interesting to see just what Nintendo has in-store for E3.

In related Nintendo news, the company has also revealed a planned promotion for Tatsumi Kimishima, current chairman and CEO of Nintendo of America and a director of its parent Nintendo. Kimishima-san will be seeing a move to NCL managing director, based in Tokyo, Japan. The news also revealed that Iwata will be taking the lead as CEO of America for Nintendo, offering a more unified global strategy. Reggie Fils-Aime will continue in his role as president and COO of NOA, reporting to Iwata-san.
