Nintendo has announced the sale of its subsidiary unit SIRA, an inventory management solutions system created way back in 1999. The system was sold off to Atlanta-based gift and prepared card company InComm.
According to the
SIRAS website (via
GameInformer), the system hasn't been entirely exclusive to Nintendo, offering solutions to both manafacturers and retailers since its inception. In addition to its inventory management, SIRA also has solutions available for handling returns and minimising fraud. The company also has mechanisms in place for the recovery of stolen goods.
Nintendo has declined to disclose financial terms of the sale.
